Our Family
BBQ in 2004
Last Family Photo 1997
Our family isn't perfect and it is true we have made many mistakes and we have hurt others. I know I have. But we need to learn forgiveness. Jesus taught us to forgive everyone. I am working on this teaching. I am not quite there yet but I am trying. Even those who don't believe in Him know that it is right to be forgiving and love one another. I just wish we could all put the past behind us and be a whole family once more without some family members feeling ostracized from others. We are all different, but we are all the same: We are all family coming from the same parents and we grew up together.
We have not had a family reunion in 5 years and the longer it goes without one, the less chance we will have one. We all make mistakes and I hope all of us (including myself) can let go and learn to forgive and be a family to one another in the true sense of the word. Of all the things I pray for, this is the one I hope for the most. I don't know if it will ever happen but it is my true wish it would happen before I die and leave this imperfect world.

My First Born: Tina
I want to do a profile of all my children. I will start with Tina.
Tina was born May 7, 1963 in Provo. Alex and I were so poor and we did not have insurance. The Dr. that delivered her was a friend of Alex's family. He charged u $100 to deliver her and the hospital charged us $150. I am just going to write mostly about the present of Tina.
Tina likes challenges and she sets very high goals for herself. She likes to excel in everything she does. As a little girl, she was quite introverted. When others participated in activities, she stood back and looked at the ground. At Primary, when the kids got up to sing and or to do actions, she would turn her eyes to the floor and not move at all. Once in Kindergarten, we went to a program for her. The kids did a dance pretending to be prancing ponies. Tina walked instead of prancing and held her hand over part of her eyes. I only say this because, look how much she has blossomed. She is totally the opposite now. One thing I do remember about Tina when she was teenager. We had macaroni in food storage in a big container. Tina liked to eat it raw. I would hear crunching away while watching TV. Very funny!
Her talents are numerous. Anything she sets out to do is near perfect. She used to make beautiful pies. She could sew anything. She is very smart as well. Also, she is a computer guru. She's not afraid to try new things. She is very active. She likes to hike, exercise and get everything she can out of life.(I don't see how she does it with her skinny little legs but she does) She is generous to a fault. She loves to meet new people.
She is quite opinionated and that is a good thing. People should stick to the opinions they really believe in. Tina is just as much at home camping and roughing it in the wilderness as she is an a 4 star hotel or a cruise. She has lots of variables in her life which makes her a very full rounded person. She has a good sense of fashion and always looks impeccable.
She loves animals and once when hiking, she found a lizard and brought him home. Feeling guilty, that she may have taken him from his natural habitat, she hiked all the way up the mountain again to put him back. She loves her current lizard, Mr. Anubis and her cat Martha. Tina has not always had a lifestyle like she has now where she has money to travel and do the things she wants. She was a struggling single mother in California for many years trying to make a dime. She was a hard worker in a stressful waitress position for some time. She did get to go to school and get an associate degree. She worked her way up and now her hard work has paid off.
My intent was not to embarrass Tina, but to let her know that I am a very proud mother and I wish I had half of her talents.
